After too many hectic evenings when the thought of cooking (and cleaning) felt overwhelming, we were motivated to develop these two recipes. In the first recipe, we developed a technique that allows the pasta to cook in the same pot as the savory ground beef, absorbing all of the amazing flavor and producing its own silky, delicious sauce.
In the second recipe, we are making a hearty tomato-based beef sauce to go with the pasta. It is also incredibly rich with tangy and savory tomato and beef sauce.
Each recipe feels like a warm hug in a bowl—creamy, cheesy, family-friendly, and incredibly satisfying. It’s the best way to manage a busy schedule and shows that cooking a tasty, home-cooked meal doesn’t have to be difficult. - Ground beef: It is the main ingredient of the pasta. We are using the simple store-bought ground beef; you can get it from the butcher as well.

- Garlic: We are adding thinly sliced garlic to the dish. It gives a rich, garlicky flavor.

- Conchiglie pasta: You can use any shell-shaped pasta for this recipe. We like shells because they scoop up the meat sauce, making it the perfect vessel for the sauce.
- Olive oil: Olive oil will help in browning everything in the pan. It also adds a mild flavor to the sauce.
- Salt: We need to season everything so the dish doesn’t seem bland.
- Onion: Onion makes a good base for the beef sauce. It also enhances the savory beefy flavor.
- Ground beef: Beef is the star of the dish; we are using ground beef for extra beefy bites.
- Garlic: It adds a spicy, garlicky flavor to the dish.
- Tomato sauce: We are using store-bought tomato sauce. You can use homemade or the one you like too.
- Tomato paste: Tomato paste adds a touch of acidity to the sauce. It also gives it the bright red color.

Heat the butter in your pot over medium heat until melted and slightly bubbly. Add ground beef straight into the pot. Break it up with your spoon and cook until browned evenly, no pink left.

Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent — this is where your kitchen starts to smell amazing.

Toss in the garlic and stir for about 30 seconds

Season with salt, pepper, Italian herbs, and chili flakes.

Pour in your chicken stock or broth and bring it to a gentle boil. Once it’s bubbling, add the pasta straight into the pot — no separate pot needed, no strainer in sight. Stir occasionally so it doesn’t stick to the bottom. The pasta will absorb all those meaty, herby juices while cooking — flavor city!

When the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed, pour in the heavy cream. Stir slowly — the sauce will instantly turn silky and luscious. If you’re adding cheese, now’s the time to toss it in so it melts right into the sauce.

Add pasta to the boiling salted water and cook until al dente — tender but still with a bite. Once cooked, drain and set aside. Reserve about half a cup of pasta water for later — it’s pure gold for adjusting the sauce texture.
