This super-easy Air Fryer Broccoli recipe cooks in under 10 minutes. Tender with roasted edges, it tastes just like oven roasted broccoli in a fraction of the time.

It's intended to be a side dish, but you might find yourself eating straight from the air fryer basket!

Ingredients
  • 1 head of broccoli
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin oil
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
Instructions

    In a large mixing bowl, mix the broccoli florets, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.

    Move the broccoli to the basket of an air fryer. Set the temperature to 390°F (200°C) and cook for 7 to 9 minutes.

    Make sure to shake the basket halfway through.

    If you'd want the broccoli softer and more steamed rather than crispy, add 1 tablespoon of water to the bottom of the air fryer basket before cooking.

Note

Use bigger florets

The bigger florets usually come out better for this recipe. The small florets tend to brown on top before the stalk became fully tender. By the time they get tender, the tips of the florets might burn.

So keep your florets on the large side! Bigger florets need more time to crisp up on top, so they cook more evenly in the air fryer.

Well coat it

For the broccoli to come out with tender stalks and crispy tops, it needs to be well-coated in the olive oil and garlic. Use your hands to work them into the tops of the broccoli florets – you don’t want any part of the broccoli to remain dry.
