We think frozen cheesy garlic bread is not good enough. They have a little artificial garlic taste with less cheese. Therefore, we decided to make the one that checks all the boxes for perfect cheesy garlic bread.  We just need a few pantry ingredients, garlic, butter and cheese for the topping and a little time on hand.

This garlicky bread masterpiece is so much more than a side; it’s the star of the dinner table. Whether served as a side to pasta, soups, a party appetizer, or enjoyed on its own, it’s perfect. Once you try it, you’ll never go back to frozen cheesy garlic bread again. Thus, no skipping on this recipe!

Ingredients Breakdown

For the Dough

  • Bread Flour: The bread flour is the basic of the bread. It has baking powder and baking soda mixed to it. If you are thinking of using All-purpose flour then you may need to add those in it.
  • Instant Dry Yeast: Yeast is a leavening agent that helps in raising the dough and making it fluffy.
  • Sugar: Sugar works as an activator for the yeast.
  • Milk: We are using lukewarm milk. Also, it will help the yeast to grow and make the dough as well.
  • Salt: Salt enhances the flavor of the bread.
  • Unsalted Butter: It adds a rich taste to the dough. It also helps the bread to cook evenly.

For Garlic Butter

  • Garlic Paste: We are using the fresh Garlic paste for better flavor.
  • Parsley: Parsley adds a touch of herbaceous flavor.
  • Unsalted Butter: Butter is like the base of this seasoned butter. Moreover, it melts in the bread, making it super garlicky and buttery.
  • Chili Flakes: It adds a kick of spice.
  • Salt: It is important to add salt otherwise the garlic bread will be bland.
  • Mozzarella Cheese: Mozzarella cheese has mellow flavor and also adds great stretchy cheese pull. We recommend using low-moisture mozzarella.
  • Cheddar Cheese: Cheddar cheese adds a sharp cheese flavor to the cheesy garlic bread.
